6TH SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Maeve Fahey was raised in Missoula, Montana, where she trained at Ballet Arts Academy. While still in high school, she apprenticed with Bare Bait Dance for two seasons before moving to San Francisco to study with the internationally renowned contemporary ballet company Alonzo King LINES Ballet. During her two years there, she trained with mentors including Maurya Kerr, Christian Burns, and Sandra Chinn before earning her certificate of completion.

In 2020, Maeve returned to Missoula and joined Bare Bait Dance as a company member. She earned a BA in Dance and Anthropology from the University of Montana in 2022. During that time, she performed and facilitated with the nonprofit Arts & Above, taught at Ballet Arts Academy and Show Tyme Academy, and brought music and movement into public schools through her work with the Center for Music by People with Disabilities.

In 2024, Maeve moved to Limerick, Ireland, to pursue a master's degree in Contemporary Dance Performance at the University of Limerick. While there, she performed Bridging, choreographed by Amir Sabra, at both the What Next Dance Festival and Take-Off Dance Festival. She also worked with choreographers Mufutau Yusuf, Emily Terndrup, and Jack Philip, taught undergraduate contemporary dance students at the University's Irish World Academy, and served as a facilitator and educator with Dance Limerick.

After returning to the United States in 2025, Maeve collaborated with the University of Montana's BA students and German composer Marit Schöpel on Iron String, a choreographic work which premiered in fall 2025 and was later presented at the Northwest Regional ACDA Informal Concert in spring 2026. During her fifth season with Bare Bait Dance, she co-choreographed her first evening-length production, An Exquisite Corpse, with BBD's Artistic Director Joy French. 

Maeve's work is rooted in collaboration, creative exchange, and community engagement, and she is committed to cultivating inclusive artistic spaces that bring together diverse perspectives, disciplines, and experiences. She is now in her sixth season with Bare Bait Dance and feels grateful to be able to continue creating, performing, and facilitating throughout Montana.

4TH SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Hannah Dusek is a dancer, choreographer, and performer. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Hannah trained in the pre-professional company, Beyond Words Dance Company, for 8 years, under the direction of Kate Jablonski. Graduating out of the company, she moved to Missoula, Montana to pursue dance at the University of Montana, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Choreography and Performance, along with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology, (May, 2023). While studying in the dance program, Hannah had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Noel Price-Bracey and Ishmael Houston-Jones.

Still working closely with Jablonski while attending college elsewhere, Hannah got the amazing performance opportunity to travel to Šibenik, Croatia as a part of the Kate Jablonski Statement in July of 2022. She performed in the Šibenik Dance Festival alongside companies from Hungary, Israel, and other parts of Croatia.

Once out of college, along with joining Bare Bait Dance Company in 2023, she and two other colleagues co-founded Kinetic Convergence Dance Collective, also based in Missoula, where she has been able to give more dancers opportunities to do what they love. With this being her fourth year with BBD, she is beyond excited for another year with this incredible company, while also having the support from the BBD team to continue her choreographic and producing dreams with KCD. She is absolutely mesmerized by the incredible arts community that thrives in Missoula, and is so grateful to continue being a part of it.

4TH SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Lia Wong is a dancer, performing artist, choreographer, and educator based in Missoula, Montana. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, she relocated to Missoula in 2022, drawn by the opportunity to pursue a professional dance career in a place that could also nurture her love for the outdoors.

Lia is entering her fourth season as a company member with Bare Bait Dance after first joining as a guest artist. She has performed works by Joy French, Faith Morrison, Francesca Romo, Rachael Lincoln, Jeanine McCain, and Nicole Wolcott. Outside of BBD, Lia guest performed with Kinetic Convergence Dance (Missoula) in 2024. 

Holding a BFA in Modern Dance and a BA in Psychology from the University of Utah, Lia has worked with many Salt Lake-based artists & guests. Her artistic development has also been shaped by mentors Sarah Ebert and Miranda Atkinson, and further enriched through training with SALT Contemporary Dance, Bates Dance Festival, Countertechnique, and American Dance Festival.

Outside of performing, Lia has choreographed on and off for the past ten years, presenting work in Eugene, Salt Lake City, Durham, North Carolina, and Missoula. Her choreographic work includes being selected as an Emerging Female Choreographer with #instaballet in 2017, creating work for Bare Bait Dance performances, and choreographing for Ballet Arts Academy's Studio Company. When time allows, she also teaches Westside Theater's community class series and is excited to expand her teaching practice by beginning her comprehensive Pilates certification this fall. 

Beyond the studio, Lia serves as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Westside Theater, where she combines her passion for the arts with community engagement and advocacy. Her background in arts administration includes positions with the University of Utah's College of Fine Arts, UtahPresents, and the American Dance Festival. Lia is honored to contribute both onstage and behind the scenes to the vibrant arts community she now proudly calls home.

3RD SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Toree Wilson (she/her) was raised in Iowa where she grew up in her mother’s dance studio. She then moved to Chicago, IL and completed her BFA in Dance at Columbia College Chicago in 2020. During her time there she studied performance, pedagogue, and choreography, as well as, gaining opportunities to perform, teach, and train at Camping, a dance festival in Paris, France.

Toree has performed in many works and spaces including, An Exquisite Corpse in Missoula, MT (Joy French & Maeve Fahey 2026). Parallel Obscura Missoula, MT (Arts and Above 2026). Hang Onto Me during westFEST New Works Festival in Missoula, MT (Francesca Romo + Michaela Ellingson 2025). Is This It? (Joy French 2025). Hansel and Gretel Helena Symphony (Heather Adams 2024). Scores From a Friend at Okay…GO! (Toree Wilson 2023). Worked in partnership with Dance Initiative Inc. in Carbondale, CO (Megan Janssen 2023). Participated and performed in LINK, a dance festival in Salt Lake City, UT (2022). Worked with colleague Nicholas Cooper through the Marshall County Arts + Culture Alliance to create a five-part dance film series (2020). Additional works and choreography by Courtney Mazeika, Darrell Jones, Qudus Onikeku, Paige Cunningham, among others.

You can also find Toree teaching in Missoula at Show Tyme Academy, and is the Assistant Director of BodyCraft: Youth ChoreoLAB at the Westside Theater. In the summers she loves educating the youth from Iowa to Montana.

She is so thrilled to be living in Missoula and absorbing all it has to offer with her husband and their two pups! Toree is excited to be entering her third year as a BBD company member!

1ST SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Neave Fleming grew up in Colorado where she trained at Dance Conservatory of Denver under Jennifer Micek and Cori Lucero. In high school, she was an ensemble member and instructor at Moovment House with Mary Lynn Lewark, a studio grounded in Gaga Technique, and spent a semester in Argentina exploring Tango and Hip Hop.

At Whitman College, she studied under Renée Archibald and Peter de Grasse and performed with guest artists including Dez'Mon Omega Fair, Christopher Williams, Sadiqua Iman, LROD, and Jess Pretty. Her thesis project positioned the body as porous, exploring its interactions with movement and the biological world.

Neave spent two years working for the Forest Service in Alaska and Washington, traveling out of her backpack, before settling in Missoula, MT. Working as a freelance artist, she has collaborated with local nonprofit Arts and Above and Toor Dance Company. This past year, she had the privilege of training with Lucia Kickman, Philip Connaughton, and Rosie Stebbing at Dublin’s Dance Ireland. Neave first performed with Westside Theater for their community production abunDANCE in the spring of 2025 and then as a guest artist with Bare Bait Dance in A Few of My Favorite Things in the winter of 2025. She is ecstatic to be joining the company this season!

1ST SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Liana Dillon grew up dancing in Missoula, Montana, beginning her artistic journey at Ballet Arts Academy and performing for many years in Garden City Ballet’s The Nutcracker. In 2019, Liana got her first taste of modern dance as an apprentice with Bare Bait Dance. After graduating high school, she moved to Seattle to study dance for a year at Cornish College of the Arts before coming back home to the University of Montana, where she earned her BA in Dance in 2024. In addition to her college education, Liana attended Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, Maine, in 2022 and again in 2024. 

Since then, she has found professional work down a variety of avenues, including guest choreographing for the University of Montana’s Dance on Location and Westside Theater’s abunDANCE, teaching and choreographing for Missoula Dance Festival, and even performing in the Helena Symphony’s opera production of Hansel and Gretel.  

Most recently, Liana has performed as a company member with Kinetic Convergence Dance, choreographed for Arts and Above’s Parallel Obscura, and guested with Bare Bait Dance as The Detective in An Exquisite Corpse. She spent this past summer training at Nuova Officina della Danza’s intensive program in Turin, Italy, and she presented work in westFEST New Works Festival performance, Okay…GO!, at the Westside Theater. Liana is continually inspired by the thriving arts community in Missoula and is honored to be joining BBD as a company member for their 16th season.
