Somewhere in America, an army of pre-teen competitive dancers plots to take over the world.
Westside Theater is pleased to present Dance Nation, 2019 Pulitzer Prize Finalist for Drama, 2015 Winner of the Relentless Award, and 2017 Winner of the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Dance Nation is part-dance, part-theatre, filled with ambition meets competition while holding on tight to the emotional rollercoaster that is being a 14-year-old.
State Theatre Company in South Australia called Dance Nation “a blur of reality and fantasy; a dream and a nightmare. It flips from the mundane to the surreal in a heartbeat, taking the audience on a turbulent ride through adolescence.”

Westside Theater|Bare Bait Dance will hold for Dance Nation, play by Clare Barron, produced by Kelly Bouma and Marie Fahlgren and directed by Sarah Butts, on Friday, September 25, 6–9pm, and Saturday, September 26, 1–4pm, at Westside Theater.
Call Backs will be Sunday, September 27, 5-8pm.
